About the Breakers The Spokane Breakers is a Select soccer club, run by Spokane Youth Sports Association. Select soccer, or the Inter-District League (IDL), is the second most competitive program within the Washington State Youth Soccer Association (WSYSA). Teams are open to boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 17. Tryouts are held annually by the club for each team at the SYSA South Sports Complex. Players for the Breakers must live on the South side of Spokane, and will generally attend Lewis & Clark or Ferris HS or Sacajawea or Chase MS. If there is no a Select soccer team in your area, check with SYSA for eligibility. The Breakers Soccer Club is built of soccer enthusiasts and competitors. The club is a great way for youth players to build their abilities and to compete at a level that is above the average for their age. Kids playing for the Breakers generally have two goals in mind:
The Breakers Select Soccer Club is coordinated, coached & managed by volunteers. We're committed to player development, building a deeper knowledge of the game, playing with true sportsmanship at all times, and creating a life-long love of soccer. We believe that youth sports programs provide an enjoyable learning environment for the physical, social, and personal development of our players. This includes:
